Recognizing the limitations of generic five-star reviews, the team created the Parallel Score, a matching system built to help patients find caregivers based on personal preferences, communication style, and values. The goal was to improve the patient experience by surfacing compatibility, not just credentials. I led brand development, early product design, and full-stack prototype development. The project moved quickly, from naming and identity to interactive search flows and investor-ready demos. We designed and built a mobile-friendly platform that allowed users to define their preferences and discover aligned physicians in their area. While the product resonated with potential users, deeper research revealed that alignment alone was not enough to shift physician behavior or create a sustainable business model. After six months of design, development, and field testing, the team made the strategic decision to pause the venture. Parallel remains a meaningful exploration of design thinking applied to a complex industry in need of patient-centered innovation.
